Peter Abrams - Metal Work
Peter likes to refer to himself as a reverse engineer. He has always been intrigued by the world’s detritus, culling recycled materials out of the waste stream and transforming them into objects of desire. Referred to by others as a gifted artist and furniture designer, his choice of raw materials is only one of the things that distinguishes his work. Elegance, comfort, functionality and a sense of humour complete the recipe.

Lily Downing Burke - Artist
This series of work has been created within the past year and half.  After taking a hiatus from making art for the past 20 years to pursue a career as an art dealer and raising twins, I decided to go back to work but in a diminutive scale and simplistic medium. This would allow me the time to finish a work, deal art and care for my family.  Relative to a series the large oils completed in the 1980’s, this imagery has similar emotion not scale.  The subject is initially taken from nature but twisted, shrunk, enlarged and recast in the final form.  To focus my concentration, I listen to one song with headphones over and over.  I usually find the song first and then the imagery falls into place.  Each work is six inches by three inches with colored pencil on arches watercolor paper.

I Fat Shatzky - Artist
My work is about passion and sensuality, temptation and beauty but it is also about
explosion and control, intention and intuition, reason and spontaneity and the
balance between randomness and order. The surface will be a place where often
patterns as well as elusive marks will be playing an important roll.

andrew_wilkinson

Andrew Wilkinson - Sculpture

"My dual background in fine art and commercial art, specifically marketing and media communications, has lead me to develop a style that borrows from both popular culture and subcultures. Combined with an interest in Surrealism and Pop Art, my work explores the re-contextualization of ordinary objects, where a conscious choice of materials alters the perception and function of such quotidian objects. I typically draw inspiration from my childhood memories and notions of cultural displacement. In addition, much of my art communicates a social critique of mass consumption by exploiting the paradox of consumerism and the power of iconography."
